There is a national emergency facing our healthcare system due to the shortage of healthcare workers. And the shortage of home-based care providers and home health care workers is forcing families to fill in gaps in home health care. As a result, family caregivers are faced with performing non-medical and medically-specific tasks but receive little to no guidance or adequate training, creating major implications for healthcare organizations. To address these skill gaps, we have built a digital platform that offers family caregivers skills-based training for medical & non-medical tasks in addition to diagnose-specific & activity-specific tasks. Our on-going support allows family caregivers to receive access to monthly virtual workshops to ensure they are fully equipped to handle any transitions of care. Our goal is to improve the quality, patient safety, health outcomes, and cost-effectiveness of in-home care.

How it works
Family caregivers complete a short form about their caregiving experience, the care recipient and indicate their training needs.
Based on their answers, we will suggest an appropriate training for their specific needs. The family caregiver will view the trainer’s calendar and select the designated training at a date and time that is most convenient for him/her.
Family caregiver will meet with our vetted trainer, via the portal, on the indicated date (s) and time and complete the training. Family caregiver will also receive ongoing support via our helpline and monthly workshops.
